FREE NHS Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening for men aged 65+

 In April 2012 a new NHS AAA Screening and Surveillance Service for gentlemen aged 65 and over was launched in Coventry and Warwickshire.  Should you wish to read more about this AAA Screening Service may I suggest that you refer to the National AAA Website at https://www.gov.uk/topic/population-screening-programmes/abdominal-aortic-aneurysm

where there is more information in order that you are able to make an informed decision as to whether you wish to refer into this programme. Currently, this particular NHS screening programme is not available for ladies, as the prevalence of AAA’s is five times higher in the male population.
