Dunchurch Surgery: Upcoming Power Interruption
Date of Maintenance: 19th March 2026 (approximate based on National Grid schedule)
Important Information Regarding Our Services- Please be advised that due to essential National Grid maintenance affecting the Dunchurch area, the practice will experience a planned power outage.
While we intend to remain open and provide care, there will be significant interruptions to our usual electronic services:
Clinical Appointments: If you have an appointment booked on these dates, please attend as planned unless contacted otherwise. Our clinicians will be working on laptops or using paper records during the downtime.
Administrative Delays: As we will not have power for desktops, printers, or scanners, please expect delays with prescription processing, registrations, and general administration.
Phone Lines: We anticipate some interruption to our phone services. If you have an urgent medical need that cannot wait, please consider using 111 online or, in a life-threatening emergency, dial 999.
Pre-booked Services: To manage the interruption, we have temporarily limited "on-the-day" routine bookings to ensure we can safely see patients already scheduled.
How You Can Help Us
- Prescriptions: Please ensure you request any repeat medications at least 48 hours in advance of these dates to avoid issues while our systems are offline.
- Non-Urgent Queries: If your query is not urgent, we kindly ask that you wait until the following day to contact the surgery to allow us to catch up with our clinical workload.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this enforced local maintenance/upgrade and appreciate your patience as we work through these technical challenges
