Age UK website is a wide-ranging resource for help and advice, including financial, legal, health, well-being, work and learning. They also provide a befriending service and offer support for carers. Adult Social Care services
Adult Social Care services are available from Warwickshire County Council by calling 01926 410410. You don’t need a GP referral. They can assess your needs, help with funding and also run a day centre, New Directions, 27 Bilton Road, CV22 7AN.
Continence care
Continence care, including pads, is available from the Orchard Centre in Rugby. You will need a referral from your GP.
Dementia
Information and support for people with dementia, and for their families is available from a number of organisations, without the need for a GP referral.
Frailty
If you are frail, lacking energy or struggling to live with arthritis you can get help from the Occupational Therapy team. You don’t need to see a GP, just call reception to book an appointment.
Mobility problems, home aids and avoiding falls
For support with avoiding falls, assessment of your mobility at home due to being housebound, or prescription of urgent equipment, you - or someone you ask to act on your behalf - can call the Home First Therapy team on 01926 600 818 (8.00am to 8.00pm, 7 days a week).
