Family Healthy Lifestyles Programme

Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children are diagnosed after referral by the school. This is because the service can reject referrals that do not provide the full assessment of educational difficulties that are the key feature of ASD and ADHD. GPs do not have this information, and do not have any faster or “backdoor” access to the service. Speak to your child’s school.
