Covid 19 vaccinations to 20/01/21

We are continuing to implement the vaccination programme for Covid 19.

Patients will be invited by the practice but can also attend the Regional Vaccination Centre at Birmingham (by invitation) or obtain vaccines through hospital or pharmacy sources. All vaccinations are recorded on a national database.

The practice is following the Government guidelines on vaccination priority groups in the following order and offering the second vaccination dose 12 weeks after the first:

  1. residents in a care home for older adults and their carers ( completed)
  2. those 80 years of age and over (almost complete)                                                      (and frontline health and social care workers**)
  3. all those 75 years of age and over
  4. all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
  5. all those 65 years of age and over
  6. all individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
  7. all those 60 years of age and over
  8. all those 55 years of age and over
  9. all those 50 years of age and over

** Frontline healthcare workers are to be vaccinated through the Hospital hubs and can obtain vaccinations through the following link:

We have now vaccinated our care home patients and their carers.

Almost all of our 736 patients over the age of 80 will have been offered vaccination by January 24th.

The next age group will then be invited but please be aware that we have over 1000 patients in their 70s and vaccine supply is limited.

Apart from visiting patients who are genuinely housebound we will administer our vaccinations at the Rugby Health vaccination clinic at:

Locke House, The Railings, Woodside Park, Rugby, CV21 2AW.

We will invite our patients for vaccination as and when vaccines are available for each group.

Please do not contact the practice about these vaccines.
