Dunchurch Surgery Covid 19 vaccinations update
We are continuing to implement the vaccination programme for Covid 19. The practice is working in collaboration with the other Rugby GP practices (The Rugby Health Primary Care Network) to administer vaccines at:
Locke House, The Railings, Woodside Park, Rugby, CV21 2AW.
Patients will be invited by the practice (by telephone or, if possible, by text message) to make an appointment, but may also be invited to attend the Regional Vaccination Centre at Birmingham (by invitation), the Area Mass Vaccination Centre at Stoneleigh (by invitation) or obtain vaccines through hospital or pharmacy sources. Patients may choose any of these options. All vaccinations are recorded on a national database. The practice is following the Government guidelines on vaccination priority groups in the following order:
1. residents in a care home for older adults and their carers completed
2. those 80 years of age and over and (frontline health and social care workers)**
3. all those 75 years of age and over
4. all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
5. all those 65 years of age and over
6. all individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
7. all those 60 years of age and over
8. all those 55 years of age and over 9. all those 50 years of age and over **

We have now vaccinated our care home patients and their carers. We have attempted to offer a vaccination appointment to everyone over the age of 75 and we are currently beginning the process of inviting Group 4 above.
If you are over 75 and have not yet been offered a Covid 19 vaccination, please contact the surgery as soon as possible.

If you belong to any group below group 3 above, Please do not contact the practice about these appointments.
